Care for linen and boucle

Linen and boucle are honest fabrics: they show everything, which is precisely why they age well. The trick is small, regular effort instead of dramatic rescue.

Weekly

Vacuum on low with a brush head. Rotate seat cushions so the sofa wears evenly, and flip them where the construction allows. Sun is fine; a permanent sun stripe is not – shift the sofa 10 cm twice a year if the room is bright.

When something spills

Blot, do not rub. Water with a drop of neutral soap gets most things if you get there while the spill is fresh. For anything oil-based, call a professional: an honest mistake costs less than an honest stain.
